BIG WEDDING WEEKEND

Hope you had a lovely weekend, the weather was beautiful!

I had a lot of fun baking on the weekend and it was filled with a wedding cake, wedding kolacky, bread, bread rolls and lots of other desserts. It was very busy but I loved every second!

My friend got married this weekend and she asked me to bake a Wedding cake for her. It was Swedish princess cake - sponge cake with layers of raspberry jam, vanilla custard, whipped cream and covered in Marzipan. It is funny how cakes look so mysterious on the outside - you never know what to expect when you cut through..

Wedding kolacky with cream cheese inside as a present for the Bride and Groom. Czech style!

Then I got a big order for a birthday celebration of one Czech girl living in Sydney - her husband organized this as a suprise. Honey cake (medovnik), apple strudel, blueberry crumble cake, kolacky with powidl jam, cinnamon crumble cake, healthy chocolate coconut macaroons, Czech bread and bread rolls with caraway seeds. She is one lucky girl!
